A few years ago, I fell in love with this 1946 Dodge Cabover (COE). These are rare as I have only seen a couple of them in person. A quick Google search will reveal a few that have been restored and even some that have realized a good return at auction.
I actually bought this from a good friend and have kept it in my own collection for about four years. After World War II, America became a manufacturing powerhouse and trucks like this were used to move everything from farm produce to construction supplies and finished goods.
The men who drove these trucks enjoyed very little creature comforts, but they did whatever it took to get the job done, and these trucks did their part to build America.
This truck came from Northeast Montana and has been set-up to haul grain. It looks like it is original and restorable. We would love to see this move onto a home where it will be lovingly restored and put back to work or brought to shows all summer long.
